Correct steps for using a tampon
1. Wash your hands and hold the handle of the outer tube with your thumb and middle finger.
2. After the body is relaxed, push the catheter 45 degrees up to the vagina until the finger touches the skin of the vaginal opening.
3. Push the inner catheter in with your index finger until it overlaps with the outer catheter.
4. Pull out the whole catheter to avoid pulling the cotton thread.
If you feel uncomfortable and have a strong foreign body sensation, you're not putting it in the right place. It's normal to be nervous the first time you use a tampon. Because of the menstrual blood, the vaginal wall is moist, coupled with the role of the catheter, as long as you relax, push the tampon to the correct position, it will be OK!
